This puppy training class is a combination of on and off leash work. It's a good transition class for those that have taken Kindergarten and are wanting to continue with group classes.  On-leash work will focus on simple basic obedience and manners.  The off leash work is designed to allow the pups to build their dog-to-dog social skills.  Trainers will use their discretion to determine how much and which pups participate in off-leash play.    Commands include Attention, Sit, Down, Stand, Settle, Come, teaching tricks, and polite leash walking.  Puppies should wear a flat buckle or martingale collar they cannot slip out of.  Owners should wear close-toed close-heeled shoes.  Equipment needed is a leash and an amply supply of three types of treats.

This puppy training class is conducted off-leash to enable interaction between the puppies and people.  Puppies will play and interact to build their dog-to-dog social skills.  Exercises to teach self control, confidence in new situations and when meeting strangers will be practiced.  Commands include Sit, Down, Stand, Settle, Come and Follow.  Puppies should wear a flat buckle or martingale collar.  Owners should wear close-toed close-heeled shoes.  Equipment needed is a leash and an amply supply of three types of treats.  Puppies should have two sets of puppy shots and a bordatella vaccine prior to class.  Join the class at anytime and attend for 6 consecutive weeks.

This is an on-leash class concentrating on basic obedience skills.  Exercises focus on advancing to success in the Canine Good Citizen test.  Commands learned are Sit, Down, Stand, Come, Stay, Wait, Attention, polite leash walking, Leave It, Give It and others as needed.  Dogs should wear a flat buckle or martingale collar that they cannot slip out of.  Equipment needed is a leash and an ample supply of three types of treats.  (CGC test info:  www.akc.org)
